A Truly Trippy Hippy Dippy Day
I found something that amused me for a few minutes this morning, while I was waiting for Olivia to get up so we could get our ‘Art’ from the museum….

Well, yeah….I’m proud of my ‘Art’….and my children….
And does this item I read (while waiting for Olivia to eat her breakfast
), mean that not everyone is pleased to see George W. Bush. I am truly shocked.
Found another silly dog while waiting for her to brush her hair and clean her teeth….

And came to the conclusion that exercising is really, really bad for you….

And finally….finally(!!), she was all set and we could go to the museum to pick up our art!!!
Our Art!!!

After collecting our artistic endeavours, we were still feeling somewhat arty, so obviously just had to spend yet more money on yet more acrylic paint. Like you do. ![]()
We got some more food too. ‘Cos we both quite like eating and stuff like that. ![]()
We came home, hoping to have lunch straight away, but Adam was ‘in the kitchen’. He was cooking pasta…. “I need carbohydrates before footy!”
Then he disappeared, so we could have our lunch. More mixed bean salad on garlic and herb naan bread….still forgot to take photos.
While Adam was hogging the kitchen, we went tra la la-ing in a vague frolicking way around the garden. And the fairies had come out to play, so we took photos of them instead….

We found some flowers….I know the rosemary’s been flowering since Setsubun, the beginning of February, and lots of crocuses are already out….but I was a little surprised to see some bluebells….pleasantly surprised though.

And even more pleasantly surprising, was the discovery that our geraniums have survived their third (yes, third!) winter outdoors!!!

And then, after lunch, Olivia got around to dissecting the bird’s nests found in the ivy. She found the third, missing, nest in the front garden. The gardeners had saved it for her. She also found out what the birds used and wrote it all down in her nature book, and saved a little bit of everything in her little nature box….

Yeah, a lot of photos today. Hey, it’s been a lovely, sunny day! ![]()
I think dinner tonight will be the huge great field mushrooms we bought today, grilled with some garlic ‘butter’, shoved in a roll with some vegan cream cheese, and a green salad. Yum!! ![]()
As we’ve been wafting in and out of the house in a haze of incense, tonight must also be, it just has to be, Happy Hippy!!

Gosh - you hippy

Have you bare feet, ingrained with dirt? You’re not a real hippy if you haven’t. Um, just remembered, lush bathers are inlikely to have filthy feet.
Mixed beans sound good. I had a Jo’s brekkie yesterday, beans leftover from the night before. Trouble is, when you have beans at teatime, any digestive after effects pass (ha) unnoticed in the night. But when you have them for breakfast, you (and everyone around you) know about it all day). And that’s something I hadn’t thought of before. They were lovely though, quite an illicit pleasure.
Geraniums looking better than ours - just crop the photo and you’ve got your today’s prompt sorted - brick.
You go on a treadmill to check your cardiac function after bypass surgery - imagine that. Typical NHS idea. Out of cardiology dept into A&E.

Merry: Groovy! Far out man!
Eleanor: After today, although I don’t have ingrained dirt, I do have quite ‘fragrant’ feet….I’m off for me bath….
Amanda: Well, thank you very much! (In my head I sounded just like Elvis then….most bizarre!)
