So much free time!

Filed under: Adam, Olivia, Maisy, Friends - Jo @ 12:35 pm

So little to blog about!
It’s a case of, drop Olivia off, meet friends (sans children!), pick Olivia up, come home.
Except yesterday was a bit different in that I rushed home to make a whole load of sosmix rolls and then went out to meet me friend.
Today’s different as well because Adam had another early morning dental appointment and then went straight to work. So that meant there was no one in the house at all. Except Maisy. Who’s not exactly ‘in your face’. And tends to just open one eye to look at me before rolling over to get more comfortable. But anyway, I repeat, the house is empty!! Completely and utterly so!! (Except for Maisy)
Oh what to do with myself??
So I’ve had me bath and now I’ve got the tedious task of trying to amuse myself for the rest of the afternoon. Olivia doesn’t finish ’til 7 tonight (dress rehearsals, dahling), so I’ve got over six hours on me tod!
Do I go and read in the garden?
Or do I go upstairs to watch a film?
Ooh, decisions, decisions….

Nice sunset last night by the way….
Olivia saw it and wanted to get a photo of it. I told her no. Because she’s doing the photo prompts every morning and I haven’t taken a photo in days.

Sunset 001

Sunset 002

Yes, I know they look identical. But they’re not. Perhaps I should do some kind of Spot The Difference Competition? How many differences can you spot?

Updated to add….
I ended up doing a bit of both. I read in the garden ’til it got too hot ( ) then cooled off upstairs watching a film. Memento. One of those that I’m going to have to watch again because my sun addled brain kept drifting away.

  2. I think it’s the barracks bell tower in the corner of the sunset scenes, it looks like some kind of mediterranean minaret.
An empty house is most bizarre. I did consider doing a bit of tidying, but it didn’t take too long to rid myself of such foolish notions!
Just got back from picking Olivia up, and watching her hug and say her ‘goodbyes’ and ’see you tomorrows’ to all her drama type friends was odd to say the least, she suddenly looks very grown up.

  4. Lovely to hear from you Ann, very lovely indeed!
I’m very easy going and usually have no trouble just walking away from ’stuff’, but there comes a point you know….
And yes, Olivia is still mad keen on Enid Blyton. She’s very into the Adventure stories now, and recently discovered Swallows and Amazons (my fave!) and is reading one of Ransome’s other books at the mo (can’t think what it’s called though!)
